Hayden's Version of the Emperor's New Clothes

We read the Emperor's New Clothes. Hayden had to write a story where he tricked someone.

I was on top of a building, and I had a net. I found my daddy and we jumped down from the building and we found a danger cat. It was in danger. The cat was in danger. I saved him. He licked me and licked me and licked me. I liked him. He was nice. Then, he gave me a message. Then, there was a bird, and a tiger and a snake and a giraffe. Every animal in the world went to me and liked me.

I went back on the building with my dad. We found a bad guy and I acted like the bad guy. I said, "Do you want to come to my house?" He did. Then, I said, "I have nice animals at my house." He believed me. But, when I opened the door, the animals attacked him. That was actually good. My animals attacked him, and attacked him and attacked him. The End.

Hayden's Fable with Adjectives

Hayden used his fable to add descriptive words.

Once upon a time my NICE dad got me a YUMMY drink at the GREY AND RED AND WHITE gas station. It was a BLACK coke. We went to the beach THAT WAS FULL OF SEA MONSTERS. I said, "I can help you, Dad." My NICE dad said, "You can not help me." But I was right. I helped him. He said, "Can you give me that YELLOW, BASKETBALL pencil down there?" And I did. I helped him. And he said, "You're right." We went to the beach FULL OF CRABS. We found some BIG fish and we eated them. I loved it. And then we went on a boat WITH A WINDOW. IT WAS A HUGE BOAT WITH SAILS ON IT. Then, we dived and saw some GREY sharks WITH BIG TEETH AND THEY ALMOST GOT US. Then we went back on the GINORMOUS boat. After that we went back to the beach and then back home. The End.

A Hayden Fable

Hayden had to write a fable that was like The Lion and the Mouse. Here's his version:

Once upon a time my dad got me a drink at the gas station. It was a coke. We went to the beach. I said, "I can help you, Dad." My dad said, "You can not help me." But I was right. I helped me. He said, "Can you give me that pencil down there?" And I did. I helped him. And he said, "You're right." We went to the beach. We found some fish and we eated them. I loved it. And then we went on a boat. Then, we dived and saw some sharks. Then we went back on the boat. After that we went back to the beach and then back home. The End.
