A Scooter and a Motorcycle

Once upon a time they were a cool scooter guy. He could go on top of his scooter. He can jump really high. I don't believe it! He is weird. He is totally wicked. That was sweet!

This is what happens. He does cool tricks. He puts two foots on top of his scooter and jumps really high at the sky. He jumped on a cloud with his rocket scooter. And he has a motorcycle and an elephant. He got a rash when he fell off his scooter.

Something crashed into him and made him die. Then Jesus made him well. Then, he went to alive. The End.

Such a Rock Star

This is how we find our son these days...constantly attached to his MP3 player.

I wake up and find the earliest riser in the Hendrick house on the couch...not watching cartoons like normal children...but with his eyes closed, music so loud I can tell what song he's listening to across the room...laying on his back in his Sponge Bob pajamas, drumming the song with his feet on the cushions.

Or

I wake up to find him sitting on the dining room table (sorry Popi, I'm trying to make him stop!) doing a dot-to-dot singing "Peaches come from a can, they were put there by a man in a factory downtown." The boy loves Presidents of the United States.

I've invented a whole new language for talking to my son. He knows my made up sign language for "turn it down" "turn it off" "stop talking so loud" and "stop singing so loud, your brother is asleep."

He is so in love with music.

I am so in love with my crazy son.

What is Easter

Easter is when there is a big cross, and they have a thing, I don't know what it is, and they are putting it on Jesus' hand with a hammer. Jesus got a whoop. He gotted arrested. He died. For three days. He died on the cross so that he can come alive. He died for our sins. He got back to life affer three days.

Sorry in Advance

Last night, Hayden started throwing up.

I wasn't sure if it was a stomach virus or the fact that we had been in the car all day...and he had eaten nothing but cotton candy, regular old candy and drank a strawberry coke.

My kids don't eat like that normally.

It was just a reward for having to be in a vehicle an entire afternoon.

The second time he threw up, I was more sure it was a virus, not being car sick and stuffed with foreign foods.

Before he fell asleep in our floor near our bathroom, I got down on the floor with him.

I played with his hair and said...

"Hayden...if you feel sick in the middle of the night, I need you to get up, and run straight to the potty. I don't want you to throw up on the carpet."

He was so sweet.

He looked at me and said...

"I'll try mom. But if I do throw up on the carpet, I'm going to say I'm sorry."

He's so funny!

He knows himself.

I do too...

That's why I went ahead and made a wide blanket trail from his pallet to the toilet.
